Wednesday 11th March - Cannock Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some well competed matches played.

The Premier League saw high-score thrillers with Burntwood FC narrowly edging IDEAL FC 6-5 in a stunning display of offensive prowess. Toby Minton FC also managed a slim victory over NUTMEG CITY with a 4-3 win, while Royal Coke FC dominated their match against Romasexuals, securing a 5-1 victory.

Division 1 witnessed Barry Ruins Everything FC overpower Chase Ay We with a 5-1 victory, while Plough & Harris shut out Donk II 2-0. The division's most sensational match was undoubtedly ORIENTAL DELIGHT's 13-5 thrashing of Murder On Zidane's Floor, marking the highest scoring game of the night.

In Division 2, Blink 1 Eto came out on top with a 4-0 shutout against Gas On Grass. A close match between Cannock Dank FC 2 and LIMES FC ended in a 6-4 win for LIMES. Unathletico Madrid managed a narrow 1-0 victory over Pop Shuv-It, while Schlupp Matip fell 5-0 to Rubber Ducks FC.

Division 3 saw tight contests, with Durag McMahon eking out a 1-0 victory over Limes FC 2, and Expected Toulouse securing a 4-0 win against Murder On Zidanes Floor 2.

Meanwhile, in Division 4, Fattys edged out Bench Warmers 2-1, Demba 9 Ba fell to Funny Innit with a 3-0 scoreline, Wyrley Ultras beat Rotten Men Fc 2-0, and a nail-biting clash between Under My Cucurella and The Pitmen ended in a 1-1 draw.
