Wednesday 17th May - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

Match results in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league, powered by Leisure Leagues, were as follows for the games on 17th May.   This was the game week 12 of the campaign at 5's Pavilion and Sports Ground.

Going into next week, we are delighted to welcome new team Bazikstan FC to Division One and wish them good luck in their debut game on 24th May as they face league leaders Nutmeg City in a difficult debut game!


Premier Division:

In the Premier Division clash, Exeter Gentley secured a vital 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilswan. Exeter Gentley, currently sitting in third place, proved their mettle by grabbing all three points, putting them just one point away from the top spot. With their impressive performance, Exeter Gentley made it clear that they are serious contenders for the title.

Ideal FC displayed their dominance on the field with a resounding 4-0 win over Newstead FS. The Ideal FC players showcased their skills and teamwork, leaving their opponents struggling to keep up. This victory propelled Ideal FC up the table and kept their hopes of promotion alive.

Banglasesh FC and Oriental Delight clashed in a high-scoring encounter, with Oriental Delight emerging as the clear winners with a 7-3 scoreline. The Oriental Delight players unleashed their attacking prowess, causing headaches for the Banglasesh defense. This victory ensured Oriental Delight's continued push for the top spot, setting the stage for an exciting title showdown in the next round against Belt Road.

Belt Road had a remarkable outing, triumphing over Phil My Teet with a convincing 4-1 win. Division One:

Double Pogba and Coke celebrated a 3-1 victory over The Winding Wheel FC, propelling them up the table and bringing the possibility of promotion within their reach. The Double Pogba and Coke players exhibited their skill and creativity, causing trouble for their opponents throughout the match. With this win, they sent a clear message that they are serious contenders for promotion.

Nutmeg City showcased their dominance in Division One with an astonishing 12-1 win over Mable's Spartans. Cat Zouma got back to their winning ways by edging out Donk II with a narrow 1-0 victory. Division Two:

In Division Two, Hstikkytokky faced a tough challenge against Norty Badgers, who emerged victorious with a 6-1 scoreline. The Norty Badgers continued their impressive form, securing their third win in four matches since joining the league. Their performance highlighted their skill and teamwork, leaving Hstikkytokky struggling to keep up.

Shady FC continued their winning streak, triumphing over DCF United with a 4-2 victory. After enduring five consecutive defeats, Shady FC bounced back in style, securing their third consecutive win. Their perseverance paid off as they showcased their attacking prowess and sealed an important victory.

Snorting Lisbon put on a show with an impressive 6-2 win over Strongbow Unathletic. The Snorting Lisbon players wasted no time, scoring three goals within the first two minutes of the match. This electrifying start set the tone for their dominant performance, leaving Strongbow Unathletic trailing behind.

Champagne Super Rovers caused a major upset in Division Two by defeating league leaders Demba 9 Ba with a convincing 5-1 win. This victory propelled Champagne Super Rovers above their opponents in the standings, showcasing their determination and skill. Their performance will surely shake up the title race in Division Two.


Division Three:

In a closely contested match, Unathletico Madrid secured a narrow 3-2 victory over Limes FC. Both teams fought fiercely, but Unathletico Madrid managed to edge ahead and claim the three points. The match provided an exciting spectacle for the fans, with end-to-end action and goals aplenty.

Baldeaux faced a tough challenge against 6Men1Cup, ultimately falling short with a 4-2 defeat. Despite their best efforts, Baldeaux couldn't keep up with their opponents, who displayed their attacking prowess throughout the match. 6Men1Cup's performance was commendable, securing a valuable victory.

OB City sealed their title triumph in Division Three with a hard-fought 1-0 win over No Name FC. This victory crowned a superb campaign for OB City, who showcased their consistency and skill throughout the season. They can now celebrate their success and look forward to their next challenges.

Ball of Duty and Wyld Stallyns engaged in an exhilarating encounter, with Ball of Duty emerging as 3-2 winners. The match provided plenty of excitement, with both teams showcasing their attacking intent. Ball of Duty held their nerve and secured a narrow victory, delighting their fans.


Division Four:

Limes FC 2 put on a solid performance to secure a 2-0 victory over Hednesford City. Limes FC 2 displayed their defensive prowess, preventing their opponents from finding the back of the net. Their disciplined performance earned them a well-deserved clean sheet and three valuable points.

In a thrilling contest, Netsix N Chill claimed their first win since joining the league nine weeks ago, narrowly defeating Five Ways with a 4-3 scoreline. The victory was a testament to the hard work and determination of Netsix N Chill, who finally tasted success. Their persistence paid off, and they can now build on this win in the upcoming fixtures.

Haven't Got One Yet and Newolvabora battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw. The match showcased the competitive spirit of both teams, as they fought tooth and nail for a favorable result. With this draw, Newolvabora confirmed their promotion to the next division and will now set their sights on lifting the trophy.

Cannock Town United FC and Wycombe Tit Village treated the spectators to a goal fest, with Cannock Town United FC prevailing in a thrilling 6-4 encounter. The match was a rollercoaster ride from start to finish, filled with action and drama.
