Wednesday 18th March - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled.

In the Premier League, the Romasexuals narrowly defeated Burntwood FC in a thrilling 4-3 match. Royal Coke FC also outperformed Nutmeg City with a 3-1 victory, while Toby Minton FC secured a win against Net Six And Chill with an impressive 4-1 scoreline.

Division 1 showcased a couple of nail-biting draws, as Donk II and Oriental Delight, as well as Chase Ay We and Plough & Harris all ended in a 2-2 stalemate. Cannock Dank FC and Barry Ruins Everything FC also drew their game, with both teams scoring a single goal each.

In Division 2, Blink 1 Eto displayed their prowess by defeating Rubber Ducks FC 3-1. Schlupp Matip and Pop Shuv-It fought out an intense 2-2 draw, while Limes FC bested Unathletico Madrid, registering a 4-2 win. The surprise win of the day was Cannock Dank FC 2, beating Gas On Grass 2-1.

Moving on to Division 3, Durag McMahon triumphed over Pen Pushers FC, with a comfortable 4-1 victory. Murder on Zidanes Floor 2 outclassed Cosa Nostra with a massive 5-1 win, while Expected Toulouse overcame Mables Spartans 2-0. Limes FC 2 also cruised to a 4-0 win against Show Me Umtitis.

Finally, in Division 4, The Pitmen had a tough time against the Bench Warmers, facing a 5-1 defeat. Under My Cucurella secured a 2-0 win against Rotten Men FC, and Wyrley Ultras edged out Funny Innit 1-0. However, the high-scoring match of the day was between Fattys and Demba 9 Ba, ending in a 4-3 win for the latter.
