Wednesday 19th April - Cannock Round-Up

Welcome to the match round up for the Cannock 6 a side league, which took place on Wednesday 19th April at 5's Pavilion. All 40 teams showed up across five divisions as scheduled, and played competitive football throughout the night on the state of the art 3G surface.


Unfortunately, KFC Wimbledon has withdrawn from Division Four after fulfilling their notice period. However, we would like to welcome new team Hednesford City to the league as their replacement, and we wish them good luck going into their debut game on Wednesday 26th April.


Moving onto the games, the Premier Division saw some exciting matches. Oriental Delight dominated Phil My Teet, securing a 7-2 victory. Bangladesh FC secured a 2-0 win against Athletic Bilswan, while Newstead FS and Exeter Gentley shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw. Ideal FC emerged victorious in a close encounter against Belt Road, with a final score of 6-5.


In Division One, there were some tight matches. Fountain lost 3-4 to Cat Zouma in a nail-biting contest, while Nutmeg City secured a comfortable 4-0 win against Donk II. Mable's Spartans and Double Pogba and Coke shared the points with a 2-2 draw. Shameless 6! emerged victorious in their game against The Winding Wheel FC, winning 4-1.


Division Two saw some high-scoring matches. Warehouse Warriors secured a massive 9-3 victory against DCF United, while Norty Badgers narrowly defeated Shady FC 6-5. In a closely contested game, Hstikkytokky lost 2-3 to Champagne Super Rovers. Strongbow Unathletic faced defeat at the hands of Demba 9 Ba, with a final score of 2-4.


Division Three saw No Name FC beat Ball of Duty 5-2, while Limes FC and 6men1cup shared the points with a 2-2 draw. OB City dominated Baldeaux, winning 5-1, and Wyld Stallyns secured an impressive 8-3 victory against Unathletico Madrid.


Finally, in Division Four, Five Ways secured a 4-2 win against Haven't Got One Yet, while Cannock Town United FC beat Limes FC 2 2-0. Newolvabora dominated Netsix N Chill, securing a 5-1 victory.


Overall, it was an exciting night of football, with plenty of goals and action. We would like to thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability, which ensures the league runs on time and smoothly each week.
