Match Reports: Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6-a-side League - Game Week 3


Premier Division:


Exeter Gentley put on a commanding performance as they secured a comfortable victory against Nutmeg City. From start to finish, Exeter Gentley dominated the match, exhibiting their superior skills and teamwork. Their opponents were left chasing shadows as Exeter Gentley cruised to a resounding 6-0 win. It was a nutty day for Nutmeg City, who struggled to crack the code of Exeter's defense.


In a clash between feline forces, Cat Zouma faced off against Belt Road, the reigning champions. It was a purrfect outing for Cat Zouma as they clawed their way to an impressive 8-3 triumph. Belt Road, known for their championship pedigree, will be eager to regroup and bounce back in the next round. They'll need to tighten their belts and show their true road warrior spirit.


Ideal FC took on Athletic Bilswan in a hard-fought encounter. Despite Ideal FC's valiant efforts, it was Athletic Bilswan who emerged victorious, proving they were in a league of their own. Athletic Bilswan showcased their agility and prowess on the field, sealing a 3-1 win. Ideal FC fought tooth and nail, but they couldn't quite reach their ideal result against the swift Bilswan.


Donk II found themselves up against Bangladesh FC, a formidable opponent. In a match that saw both teams give it their all, it was Bangladesh FC who emerged triumphant, leaving Donk II trailing behind. Bangladesh FC unleashed a relentless offensive display, netting four goals and securing a 4-1 victory. Donk II put up a good fight but couldn't overcome the Bangladesh blitz.


Division One:


Newstead FS put on an electrifying performance against Double Pogba and Coke, leaving their opponents reeling from the onslaught. Newstead FS showcased their attacking prowess, finding the net nine times while conceding only twice. It was a dominant display from Newstead FS as they romped to a resounding 9-2 victory, leaving Double Pogba and Coke fizzling out.


Clarence F.C. faced off against Champagne Super Rovers in a clash of contrasting fortunes. Champagne Super Rovers, known for their sturdy defense, continued their impressive form by keeping a clean sheet for the third consecutive match. They didn't stop there, unleashing their attacking prowess and scoring seven goals to secure a sparkling 7-0 win. It was a champagne supernova of a performance, leaving Clarence F.C. feeling flat.


Division Two:


Snorting Lisbon went head-to-head with Toby Minton FC in a match that saw the latter team gain their first victory since joining the league. Toby Minton FC showed remarkable improvement week after week, and their hard work paid off as they celebrated a convincing 5-1 win. Snorting Lisbon couldn't sniff out a victory as Toby Minton FC minted their success on the field.


The Winding Wheel FC and Baldeaux clashed in a thrilling encounter that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. In a match characterized by end-to-end action, The Winding Wheel FC managed to edge out Baldeaux in a nail-biting 4-3 triumph. The Winding Wheel FC navigated the twists and turns of the game, leaving Baldeaux spinning in their wake.


No Name FC faced a formidable opponent in Mable's Spartans. Mable's Spartans showcased their impressive form once again, securing their third consecutive win and clean sheet. They outclassed No Name FC in a clinical 4-0 victory, leaving their opponents searching for a name to rally behind. Mable's Spartans continue to shine brightly, leaving no doubt about their formidable skills.


Shady FC clashed with Hstikkytokky in an encounter that proved to be a goal-fest. Shady FC emerged as the victors in this high-scoring affair, triumphing over Hstikkytokky with a final score of 6-2. Shady FC proved they could shine even in the darkest corners, casting a shadow over Hstikkytokky's hopes.


Division Three:


Limes FC and DCF United locked horns in a closely contested match that went down to the wire. DCF United showcased their determination and progress this season, securing their third consecutive victory with a last-gasp goal just 15 seconds before the final whistle. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for DCF United, leaving Limes FC feeling a bit sour. DCF United squeezed out the win, proving that every second counts.


Strongbow Unathletic faced 6Men1Cup in a one-sided affair. Strongbow Unathletic showed their athleticism and skill, overpowering their opponents to secure an emphatic 4-0 victory. It was a strong performance from Strongbow Unathletic, leaving 6Men1Cup feeling unquenched and lacking in goals.


Newolvabora bounced back from their defeat last week in style, delivering a dominant performance against Unathletico Madrid. Newolvabora secured a convincing 4-0 win, reminding their opponents that they were not to be taken lightly. Newolvabora found their rhythm and marched to victory, leaving Unathletico Madrid feeling rather athleti-low.


Haven't Got One Yet faced Expected Toulouse in a clash that showcased the unpredictable nature of the game. Haven't Got One Yet defied their name and emerged as the winners, triumphing with a 2-0 victory. Expected Toulouse unfortunately lived up to their name on this occasion, as Haven't Got One Yet finally found their footing and left their opponents searching for answers.


Division Four:


Netsix N Chill, after a bright start to the season, tasted defeat for the first time against Wyld Stallyns. Wyld Stallyns proved to be a formidable opponent, securing a 2-0 victory over Netsix N Chill. The chill was palpable for Netsix N Chill as they couldn't maintain their early momentum against the wild and determined Stallyns.


Limes FC 2 faced off against Hednesford City in a closely contested match. With the game hanging in the balance, Hednesford City struck a late goal to secure their first victory of the campaign. It was a sweet victory for Hednesford City, while Limes FC 2 was left with a sour taste of defeat.


Wycombe Tit Village and Cannock Town United FC engaged in a thrilling encounter that had spectators on the edge of their seats. In a match characterized by relentless action, Cannock Town United FC prevailed with a narrow 3-2 victory over Wycombe Tit Village. Cannock Town United FC proved to be the titans of the field, leaving Wycombe Tit Village feeling a bit unsettled.


Lotto Juniors continued their impressive start to the campaign with another 3-1 victory, this time against Five Ways. It was a repeat scoreline for the newcomers, showcasing their consistency and determination. Lotto Juniors hit the jackpot once again, leaving Five Ways searching for a better route to success.

We are pleased to welcome new team Kingsmead FC to the league on Wednesday 28th June, we wish these good luck going into their debut game against Shameless 6 as they replace the outgoing Norty Badgers who have been removed due to their non-attendance.
