Wednesday 22nd March - Cannock Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.

Banglasesh continue their impressive start to the campaign and sit top of the pile after game week 4, beating Belt Road 2-1 in a competitive match, ahead of Belt Road who were beaten convincingly 7-0 by Exeter Gently.  Oriental Delight saw off Ideal FC by a 6-2 scoreline as they move up a place to fourth, whilst Athletic Bilswan returned to action this week and claimed the points against Newstead who they beat 3-1.

Donk II got their fourth win in a row since promotion to Division One, they were convincing 4-0 winners over Double Pogba and Coke.  Fountain recovered from last weeks defeat and moved up to second place after winning a thrilling game against Winding Wheel by 9 goals to 4, putting them above Nutmeg City who were surprised by Cat Zouma who beat them 2-1.  Mable's Spartans got their second win in a row after a slow start to the season, they were 4-2 winners over bottom team Shameless 6.

Demba 9 Ba lead a trio of teams on seven points so far as they romped to a 6-1 win against DCF United, trailing them are Champagne Super Rovers who were 5-0 winners over Strongbow, and Warehouse Warriors who won a ten goal thriller against Traff FC by 6 goals to 4.  HSTikkytokky got their first win of the season, coming from behind to beat Shady FC 4-3 in another superbly competed match.

OB City lead the way in Division Three as they saw off 6Men1Cup 3-1, moving ahead of No Name FC on goal difference as they shared a point with Unathletico Madrid in a 4-4 draw.  Ball of Duty are the third team on six points as they were 4-2 winners against Baldeaux in another entertaining matchup, whilst Limes FC won a gritty encounter against Wyld Stallyns 2-1.

Newolvabora head up Division Four and remain unbeaten so far this term, they were convincing 4-0 winners against KFC Wimbledon, whilst Haven't Got One Yet sit second after thrashing new boys Netsix and Chill 6-0.  Limes FC 2 were 5-1 winners over Cannock Town United to move up to third, whilst Fiveways are in fourth after a 6-2 mauling of Wycombe Tit Village.
