Wednesday 24th May - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a fantastic evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league with fantastic weather conditions to boot.  All 40 teams were in attendance to play in the glorious evening sunshine and there were some superb matches played out and some massive results as this season approaches its climax.

Premier Division:

In the premier division clash, Newstead FS took on Bangladesh FC in a thrilling encounter. Both teams were eager to secure a victory, but it was Bangladesh FC who emerged triumphant with a 3-1 scoreline. This victory ensured a top-half finish for Bangladesh FC, adding a sweet cherry to their successful season. Newstead FS fought valiantly but couldn't match the determination of their opponents.

Another premier division match featured Phil My Teet facing off against Exeter Gentley. It was an uphill battle for Phil My Teet as Exeter Gentley showcased their prowess on the field. With swift passes and excellent teamwork, Exeter Gentley secured a convincing 3-0 victory. Phil My Teet tried their best but couldn't dent the strong defense and precision of Exeter Gentley.

Oriental Delight clashed with Belt Road in an eagerly anticipated encounter. Belt Road had their eyes set on the title and showed no mercy to their opponents. With a disciplined display, Belt Road emerged victorious with a 2-0 scoreline, bringing them just one win away from clinching the title. Despite their best efforts, Oriental Delight couldn't find a breakthrough against Belt Road's resolute defense.

Athletic Bilswan faced off against Ideal FC in a match where survival was at stake. Athletic Bilswan knew they needed a point to secure their place in the division, and they rose to the occasion. With determination and skill, Athletic Bilswan outplayed Ideal FC and secured a vital 3-1 victory. Ideal FC fought hard but fell short of salvaging their campaign.


Division One:

Nutmeg City, already confirmed as champions, faced off against league debutants Bazikstan FC. It was a one-sided affair as Nutmeg City showcased their dominance on the field. With precision passing and clinical finishing, Nutmeg City swept aside their opponents with an impressive 8-1 victory. Bazikstan FC, despite their efforts, couldn't contain the relentless attacks of Nutmeg City.

The Winding Wheel FC took on Donk II in a thrilling encounter. Both teams displayed attacking intent and entertained the spectators with their goal-scoring prowess. However, it was Donk II who emerged as the victors with a resounding 7-3 scoreline. The Winding Wheel FC fought valiantly but couldn't match the firepower of Donk II.

Shameless 6! clashed with Double Pogba and Coke in a closely contested match. The teams battled fiercely on the field, creating a spectacle for the spectators. In the end, Shameless 6! emerged victorious with a narrow 3-2 scoreline, leaving Double Pogba and Coke to rue missed opportunities. It was a hard-fought victory for Shameless 6!

Cat Zouma, riding high on their fantastic run of form, faced off against Mable's Spartans. Cat Zouma showcased their attacking prowess and dominated the match from start to finish. With clinical finishing and solid defense, Cat Zouma secured a resounding 7-0 victory. Mable's Spartans fought hard but couldn't contain the relentless attacks of Cat Zouma.


Division Two:

In an exciting Division Two clash, Strongbow Unathletic locked horns with Hstikkytokky. Both teams displayed their determination to secure a victory, but it was Hstikkytokky who came out on top with a narrow 1-0 win. Strongbow Unathletic fought valiantly but couldn't find the back of the net against Hstikkytokky's solid defense.

Champagne Super Rovers, already confirmed as champions with a game to spare, faced off against Snorting Lisbon. Champagne Super Rovers displayed their championship form and secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory. Snorting Lisbon put up a strong fight but fell short against the champions.

Shady FC showcased an excellent defensive performance as they faced off against Demba 9 Ba. With solid organization at the back, Shady FC frustrated their opponents and secured a 2-0 victory. Demba 9 Ba tried their best to break through the defense but couldn't find a way past Shady FC.

Norty Badgers clashed with DCF United in a closely contested match. Both teams fought tooth and nail for the victory, creating an enthralling encounter. In the end, Norty Badgers emerged victorious with a narrow 2-1 scoreline, leaving DCF United disappointed. It was a hard-fought win for Norty Badgers.


Division Three:

Wyld Stallyns took on Baldeaux in a high-scoring affair. The match was filled with end-to-end action as both teams displayed their attacking prowess. In a closely contested battle, Baldeaux emerged as the winners with a thrilling 4-3 scoreline. Wyld Stallyns fought valiantly but couldn't overturn Baldeaux's attacking onslaught.

6Men1Cup faced off against No Name FC, who had already secured promotion. It was a challenging match for No Name FC as 6Men1Cup put up a strong defensive display. With a solid defense and clinical finishing, 6Men1Cup secured a 2-0 victory, handing No Name FC their second defeat in a row.

Unathletico Madrid clashed with Ball of Duty in a match with implications at the bottom of the table. Unathletico Madrid displayed their attacking prowess and overwhelmed Ball of Duty with a resounding 9-1 victory. Ball of Duty slipped closer to the drop zone after a recent difficult run of form.

OB City took on Limes FC in a thrilling encounter. Both teams showcased their skills and entertained the spectators with their attacking intent. In the end, OB City emerged as the victors with a 3-1 scoreline. Limes FC fought hard but couldn't overturn OB City's strong performance.


Division Four:

Cannock Town United FC and Hednesford City battled it out in a high-scoring affair. The match was filled with goals as both teams displayed their attacking prowess. In the end, Hednesford City emerged victorious with a thrilling 6-4 scoreline, leaving Cannock Town United FC disappointed. It was an enthralling match that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.

Netsix N Chill and Wycombe Tit Village fought tooth and nail in a closely contested encounter. Both teams showcased their attacking intent and entertained the spectators with their goal-scoring prowess. In the end, the match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with neither team willing to settle for anything less.

Limes FC 2 locked horns with Haven't Got One Yet in a tightly contested match. Both teams displayed their determination to secure a victory, creating an exciting spectacle for the spectators. In the end, Limes FC 2 emerged as the winners with a narrow 1-0 scoreline. Haven't Got One Yet fought valiantly but couldn't find a breakthrough against Limes FC 2's solid defense.

Newolvabora, already confirmed as champions, faced off against Five Ways in a goal-filled encounter. Newolvabora displayed their attacking prowess and overwhelmed Five Ways with a resounding 9-4 victory. It was a rampant performance by Newolvabora, showcasing their dominance in the division.

As the penultimate game week concluded, all teams were commended for their commitment and reliability throughout the season.
