Wednesday 2nd March - Cannock Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance for their matches barring a late cancellation from Teenage Ninja Skrtels who return on Wednesday 9th March.

Exeter Gently keep their place at the top of the Premier Division as they won an entertaining game against Athletic Bilswan by a 5-3 score line, they remain two points ahead of Nutmeg who had a 5-0 win this week.  Murder on Zidane's Floor stay in third place and shared the spoils with Banglasesh FC in an entertaining 3-3 draw, whilst 5-ways FC continue to get to grips with the league as they were beaten 8-2 by Ideal FC.

Oriental Delight continue their stronghold at the top of Division One, they thrashed Shameless 6 by an 8-1 score line this week, whilst Mables Spartans moved a step closer to promotion as they were 5-2 winners over Limes FC, Newstead FC will still have aspirations of promotion themselves though, they moved up to third with a 6-0 hammering of Strongbow Unathletic who remain in the drop zone, whilst Decorer FC and Pye Green Massive could not be separated as the two played out an entertaining 4-4 draw!

Baldeaux stay top of Division Two as they beat a recently improved Leavemyarsealona 3-1, whilst Traff FC won a 9 goal thriller over SMC FC by a 5-4 score line to remain a point outside the top two.  In the battle of the bottom two, neither made any strides towards safety as Wyld Stallyns and Limes FC 2 played out a 2-2 draw.

In Division Three, Inter Yanan's dominance continues, proven this week as they thrashed third placed Cesc Pistols 6-1 as they close in on the title.  Sevilla Lacatalent missed the chance to move three points clear of Cesc though, as they were held to a 2-2 draw with Newolvabora, thanks to a late goal from the fourth placed team.  Ball of Duty got an important 3-0 win against Mick Bustins Boys to keep themselves away from the drop zone, particularly important as Demba 9 Ba were 4-2 winners over Fiveways.

A late winner for Capri Sun sees them stay top of the Division Four table, as they overcame HStikkytokky 2-1 to keep a two point gap between themselves and second placed Gangsters Allardyce who won by the same score line against The Pitmen.  Cross Bar-celona climbed up to third place as they were 4-1 winners over bottom of the table Deportivo La Cannock, while Haven't Got One Yet remain in mid-table after a comprehensive 6-0 win over FC Borussia Teeth.
