Wednesday 30th August - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford 6 a side league on Wednesday, where all teams attended barring two.  Kingsmead FC return from holiday on Wednesday 6th September and we look forward to welcoming them back.  Lotto Juniors have had to withdraw due to a lack of players.

We are delighted to confirm the addition of new team 'Norton Wanderers' to the league on Wednesday 6th September, they replace the above team and we wish them good luck going into their debut game!


In the Premier League, Banglasesh FC secured a narrow 1-0 win over Athletic Bilswan. The lone goal proved enough to claim the three points for Banglasesh FC. Meanwhile, Jimmy Sevilla FC and NUTMEG CITY locked horns in a high-scoring encounter, with NUTMEG CITY edging out a 4-3 victory. In another thrilling match, Cat Zouma dominated IDEAL FC, emerging victorious with a commanding 4-1 scoreline. Lastly, Donk II faced a tough challenge from Exeter Gentley, resulting in a 1-5 defeat.


Turning our attention to Division 1, Champagne Super Rovers showcased their resilience, securing a hard-fought 3-2 win against Demba 9 Ba. DOUBLE POGBA AND COKE dominated Shameless 6! with an impressive 5-1 victory. The clash between Newstead FS and Clarence F.C. proved to be a nail-biter, with Clarence F.C. narrowly emerging as victors with a 4-3 scoreline.


Division 2 witnessed some closely fought battles as well. Baldeaux displayed their attacking prowess, defeating HSTIKKYTOKKY 4-1. Toby Minton FC managed to secure a draw against MABLE'S SPARTANS, with a 2-2 final score. In a tightly contested match, The Winding Wheel FC and Borrussia Teeth both settled for a 2-2 draw. LIMES FC 3 secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Manresa VI.


In Division 3, 6Men1Cup emerged victorious with a convincing 4-1 scoreline against DCF United. UnAthletico Madrid displayed their dominance, securing a 4-1 win over Real Sociopaths. Strongbow Unathletic managed to sneak past Haven't Got One Yet with a narrow 1-0 victory. Finally, NEWOLVABORA secured a hard-fought 2-1 win against LIMES FC.


In Division 4, Cannock Town United FC grabbed a narrow 2-1 victory over FIVE WAYS. Wyld Stallyns showcased their attacking prowess, sealing a 2-0 win against Hednesford City. Limes FC 2 secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Wycombe Tit Village.
