Wednesday 30th November - Cannock Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's action in the Cannock Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night, barring cancellations from Banglasesh and Shady FC who return on Wednesday 7th December, and Cesc Pistols who've unfortunately had to withdraw due to a shortage of players.

Spartan's have elected to move to the Monday league due to there being a vacancy in the bottom division on that night.

The above means there are TWO RARE VACANCIES AVAILABLE in Division Two at present!  Sign up today to avoid disappointment and book your place for an immediate start!  The next signup will receive FREE ENTRY WORTH £25 and a HALF PRICE FIRST GAME!  Once we receive a completed application form we will be in touch with further information on your first fixture.

If you have any questions prior to joining this league you can contact Shaun at Head Office on 0333 123 2340.

On the field there were some superb matches played across all five divisions as ever.

In the Premier Division, Nutmeg City claimed a 4-2 win over Mable's Spartans to remain on the tail of leaders Exeter Gently who had a 5-0 walkover this week.  Athletic Bilswan moved up to third position this week after a hard earned 3-1 win over Cat Zouma, whilst Ideal FC moved up to fourth and above their opposition Phil My Teet whom they put in a disciplined performance against to run out 2-0 winners.

In Division One, the top v seventh game threw up few surprises as Oriental Delight thrashed Traff FC by 11 goals to keep their perfect start to the season going.  Newstead remain in second place after a well earned 2-1 victory over Belt Road who stay third but fall 2 points behind this weeks opposition.  Duppie White moved above this weeks opponents Winding Wheel after a hard fought 3-2 win in a superbly competed game, whilst Shameless moved four points clear of the drop zone after a superb 7-1 win over Limes.

There was change at the top of Division Two this week as previous leaders Double Pogba and Coke were humbled by Donk II who beat them by a comfortable 4-0 scoreline, they move into second position whilst Baldeaux move to the summit after a fantastic 5-3 win over Demba 9 Ba.  New boys Fountain got their second successive win since joining as they were comfortable 4-0 winners against Limes FC 2.

In Division Three, Ball of Duty now occupy second spot after an impressive start since promotion, they were 2-0 winners over 6 Men 1 Cup who also came up with them last season, a result which drops the latter to fifth place after Return of the Shack were comfortable 5-1 winners over KFC Wimbledon to move into third, and Wyld Stallyns move into fourth with a 4-1 win over HStikkytokky.

OB City took advantage of No Name FC's 2-2 draw with Newolvabora to move into top spot as they were impressive 4-1 winners against Deportivo La Cannock, meaning just one goal separates the top two at present.  Fiveways got back to winning ways to move up to third position with a 3-0 victory over Haven't Got One Yet, whilst Cross Bar-celona moved up to fourth spot, winning a tight match against Cardi AC Arrest by 2 goals to 1.

We wish all teams good luck going into the halfway stage of the season as we approach game week 7 with Cannock's premier providers of small sided football!
