Wednesday 5th April - Cannock Round-Up

It was a lively night at the 5's Pavilion and Sports Ground in Cannock on Wednesday 5th April, as all 40 teams turned up for the latest round of matches in the Cannock 6 a side league. Sadly, Traff FC were a no-show, but they will return next week, hopefully with a full squad.

In the Premier Division, Exeter Gently delivered a crushing 9-1 defeat to Phil My Teet, while Oriental Delight won a closely-fought encounter against Belt Road, winning 5-4. Athletic Bilswan also secured a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Ideal FC, while Banglasesh FC and Newstead FS battled out a thrilling 3-3 draw.

In Division One, Fountain leapfrogged Donk II to take top spot with a convincing 7-1 victory over Oriental Delight. Winding Wheel edged out Donk II 3-2, while Shameless 6! claimed a 4-2 win over Double Pogba and Coke. Cat Zouma continued their impressive form with a 2-0 victory over Mables Spartans.

Division Two saw Demba 9 Ba claim an expected 7-0 victory over bottom-placed team Shady FC, while Champagne Super Rovers secured a 4-1 win over Warehouse Warriors with three late goals. Strongbow Unathletic dominated their match against HStikkytokky, winning 12-2.

In Division Three, OB City maintained their spot at the top of the table with a 3-0 victory over Limes FC. Ball of Duty and Unathletico Madrid battled out a 3-3 draw, while No Name FC secured a 3-1 victory over 6Men1Cup. Baldeaux narrowly defeated Wyld Stallyns 4-3.

Division Four saw Haven't Got One Yet remain at the top of the league with a 4-3 victory over Limes FC 2. Newolvabora moved into second place with a 4-2 victory over Fiveways, while Cannock Town United FC claimed a comfortable 4-0 win over KFC Wimbledon. Finally, Wycombe Tit Village secured a 6-3 victory over Netsix N Chill.

The organizers also thanked all the teams for their continued commitment and reliability and wished them good luck going into game week 6, with Cannock's premier and only providers of small-sided football.
