Wednesday 7th May - Cannock and Hednesford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Cannock and Hednesford Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all divisions barring Diddy's Dribblers who are due to return on Wednesday 14th May.

We are pleased to welcome new team 'Fountain FC' to the league from Wednesday 14th May, and wish these good luck going into their first fixture.

In the highly competitive Premier League division, IDEAL FC emerged as the top scorers, stunning Blewitt FC with a 4-1 victory. Jimmy Sevilla FC followed suit, netting an impressive 5 goals against Clarence F.C., and NUTMEG CITY outshone Wheely Bad Fc by scoring 6 goals. Victor Moses Lawn also made their mark by keeping a clean sheet against Puyol Pants Down, securing a 4-0 win.

The Division 1 games were equally competitive. Donk II and Toby Minton FC both shut out their opponents, LIMES FC and MABLES SPARTANS, respectively, while ORIENTAL DELIGHT displayed a brilliant offensive game by scoring 5 goals against Murder On Zidane's Floor.

The Division 2 matches were also full of excitement. DOUBLE POGBA AND COKE beat GERIHATRICKS 4-2, while Norton Wanderers outscored Galacticos 3-1. Schlupp Matip emerged as the top scorers, netting an astonishing 11 goals against Strongbow Unathletic.

Stuck In The Mud Fc and Limes FC 2 dominated the Division 3 matches, with both teams keeping clean sheets against their adversaries, Rubber Ducks Fc and Malt Fc, respectively.

In the Division 4 matchups, FIVE WAYS were the standout team, scoring an impressive 8 goals against The Pitmen. In an evenly contested match, Elite FC and Chaddy WFC ended in a 3-3 draw.
