Alton Sunday 6 a side news 2025-08-24

Play in the Alton Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In last night's Alton Sunday 6-a-side Football league, a series of exciting matches left fans on the edge of their seats. The thrilling week 6 matches, in both the Premier League and Division 1, saw some unexpected shifts in team rankings, with some spectacular goals that left the crowds buzzing.

In the Premier League division, A3 Milan delivered a sterling performance, defeating We Do Not Make Footballers in a 2-0 victory. The Grey Friars secured a convincing win over Fresh Shads with a 4-2 scoreline. However, the highlight of the night was the thrilling goal-fest between Queens Park Strangers and Sporting Bad Knees, with the Strangers emerging victorious in a 6-2 trouncing.

In the Division 1 league, Tiki Taka Terrors showed their dominance with a 3-1 win against Kickabout FC, while Hiccup FC scraped a narrow 1-0 victory against Iran Away From Bill. Unfortunately due to the behaviour displayed by Iran Away From Bill towards their opponents and the referee, they have been removed from the league with immediate effect.

We remind all teams that we employ a zero tolerance stance towards aggressive or abusive behaviour at the league, and want every team and referee to enjoy their time on the pitch. If any teams or players are seen to be behaving in a manner against this, we will remove them from the league.

Overall it was clear that both the Premier League and Division 1 had their fair share of brilliant goal makers. The games showcased the spirit of competitive sportsmanship and team collaboration at its finest.

As we head into the next week of the Alton Sunday league, the anticipation is high. The teams are now more determined than ever to clinch that coveted top-spot, promising more exhilarating matches in the weeks to come. It's all to play for in Alton's Sunday 6-a-side Football league.
