SCRAPPACKFC FLYING START TO HYTHE 6 A SIDE LEAGUE

ScrappackFC get off to a flying start to their campaign by winning their first game against H & D Saints 7-0.

The game got off to a steady start with both teams going end to end trying to put away their first goal. But it was ScrappackFC who drew first blood and then took the confidence from that to keep putting goals away. H & D Saints looked very strong on the attack at certain points of the game and looked to gain confidence as the game went on.

On the opposing pitch Gravey FC were also putting in a great performance winning their match 5 - 0. Real So So Bad put in a valiant performance til the end and at least deserved a consolation goal for their efforts.

By the time the second set of fixtures had begun Send Me Ur Fivers must have thought they were in for an easy game playing a side called Oldman Athletic but they showed that maturity and experience is still a valued trait in 6 a side football by winning their game by a clear 2 goal buffer, picking apart the younger but more disorganised opposition.

The last game of the night was a more closely fought competition between Dyslexia Untied and S045 WYS. The game was a battle of attack and S045 looked the more likely to score when the keeper made a mistake and drop kicked the football from his area which resulted in a penalty for Dyslexia. This knocked the confidence of S045 and they conceded again before picking up, working hard and got a goal back and was working hard for the equaliser before the final whistle blew.

The big takeaway from this is that all teams gave off a great atmosphere and showed sportsmanship towards each other.
