In a thrilling start to the season, Aylesbury Thursday 5-a-side Football league saw high scores and intense competition in the first week of the season. Divisions named Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 witnessed some nail-biting matches.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, AFC Cumberland kicked off the season with a convincing 5-1 win over Watermead FC, setting the tone for the rest of the season. Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels and Moosh FC also proved strong, taking victories with scores of 5-2 and 9-5 against Broughton Boys and Goal Diggers respectively. ARTY FC didn't lag behind either, besting Grasselona with a satisfying 5-3 win.
DIVISION ONE
Division 1 saw some astounding performances as well, with Yes Guys (REAL) dominating AYLESBURY FC 9-2. Spikes And Co also made a strong statement with an 8-3 win over Bibs. Pendu City and Brown Team had a closer contest, ending with Pendu City clinching a 5-3 win.
DIVISION TWO
Meanwhile, in Division 2, BowsersBarmyArmy showed their might with a 9-2 victory over Low Tier Gods. W Fellas also emerged victorious over Intervale FC with a 4-1 win. Shoot In Our Box FC and Neil Douglas battled to an exciting 3-3 draw, while Press Start Now FC couldn't hold off NetsixNChill, losing 3-12 in a high-scoring game.
The season's top scorers in the Premier League were Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels and Moosh FC with 5 and 9 goals, respectively. In Division 1, Yes Guys (REAL) and Spikes And Co impressed with 9 and 8 goals while NetsixNChill from Division 2 stunned everyone with a massive tally of 12 goals in their first match.
With the season just kicking off, these initial matches have set the stage for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season across all divisions.
