The Aylesbury Thursday 5-a-side football league reached a thrilling climax last night during its 14th and final week. The final whistle echoed through the stadium, signifying the end of the season and announcing the winners in both the Premier League and Division 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Goal Diggers edged out Watermead FC by a single goal, 8-7, in a nail-biting match. Meanwhile, Grasselona and Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels battled to a 4-4 draw, showcasing the high level of competition in the league. However, this week's standout performance came from Inter Your Bin FC, who showcased their dominance with a 13-1 victory over Press Start Now FC.
When the dust settled, it was Moosh FC who stood victorious in the Premier League division, finishing the season with an impressive 23 points and 11 wins. The Premier League top scorer was Luis Santaniello from Watermead FC, who netted an astounding total of 7 goals.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, the Bibs claimed a 7-5 win over Yes Guys (REAL), while Gangsters Allardyce crushed Intervale FC with a 9-1 victory. The latter team proved their prowess by securing the Division 1 title, emulating their Premier League counterparts with 23 points and 11 wins. Ben Green from Gangsters Allardyce was the star of Division 1, becoming the top scorer with a total of 9 goals.
As we close this exciting season, we congratulate all the participants for the exhilarating matches and the high level of sportsmanship displayed. The winners, Moosh FC and Gangsters Allardyce, deserve special recognition for their excellent performance throughout the season. Fans are already eager for the next season to kick off.
