The Aylesbury Thursday 5-a-side football league delivered another round of exhilarating football under the stars last night. Rival teams from all three divisions: Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, battled it out on the pitch for the seventh week of the season.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League's high-stakes matches, AFC Cumberland demonstrated their prowess by overcoming ARTY FC in an 8-4 victory. Moosh FC also showcased their talent, defeating Grasselona 9-3, and Goal Diggers outperformed Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels with an impressive 13-6 scoreline. The Broughton Boys also held their ground, edging Watermead FC in a 3-1 victory.
DIVISION ONE
Shifting our focus to Division 1, we witnessed Inter Your Nan securing a narrow 4-3 win over AYLESBURY FC. In a 12-goal thriller, Pendu City outscored Gangsters Allardyce 7-5. Meanwhile, Spikes And Co dominated the Brown Team, winning the match 8-2.
DIVISION TWO
Over in Division 2, BowsersBarmyArmy triumphed over Press Start Now FC with a 7-2 win. NetsixNChill and Non Bibs also registered victories, overcoming Shoot In Our Box FC and W Fellas with 7-5 and 4-1 victories respectively. Jubs Gentlemen rounded off the evening with a 9-4 win against Intervale FC.
While every team contributed to the dazzling spectacle, certain players stole the spotlight with their leading goal tallies. The top scorers for the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 were representatives from Moosh FC, Pendu City, and Jubs Gentlemen respectively. Their uncanny abilities to find the back of the net repeatedly provided their teams with an immense advantage.
As we approach the closing weeks of the season, the competition only intensifies with each passing game. Stay tuned for next week's match-ups!
Many thanks to the referees for running another smooth night of football!
