AXMINSTER 6 A SIDE BACK UNDERWAY FOR 2023

It was brilliant to see our Wednesday night 6 a side teams back in action last night in Axminster with a full line up of sides desperate to get going after the festive break. Leaders Uplyme & Sinker slipped to defeat at the hands of Crouch Potatoes which gave Farmers Weekly the chance to match them on 6 points at the top of the table following their 6 - 2 win against Quaresma Balls. Gavin Herrod in fine form with a well taken hattrick. Portsmuff are also on 6 points after they narrowly got the better of A.I.FC in a 3 - 2 win.

Div One had a cracking 4 - 3 result from the game between The Roys and 6 A Cider, a couple of unfortunate own goals helping The Roys to 2 valuable points. Leaders Staro won 5 - 2 against Vikings with Tyler Allen doing the damage and netting 2 of the goals while Nice To Michu ensured they stayed right there level on points with their own win, comfortably beating A & C Dads 9 - 1. Jordan Fowler outscoring his team mates with a hattrick. 

So good to be back, well done to all the teams and of course to our officials. We added Dan to the team who did a great job and freed Lance up to oversee games and manage match nights. It's certainly developing into an exciting season in both divisions which is brilliant to see. Thanks for being part of it guys and good luck next week!
