AXMINSTER 6 A SIDE FOOTBALL - WEDNESDAY NIGHT

It was a crisp, cold night in Axminster last night as our 6 a side teams braced themselves and got out there for another entertaining round of games. It's early in the season still but some important points were up for grabs and Champions Uplyme & Sinker continued their strong title defence with a big 2 - 0 win against Portsmuff. Brad Conway and Alex Wheatley on target for the leaders. A.I.FC and Crouch Potato both got their season's up and running with good wins. Cam Barfoot bagging a hattrick for A.I in their 3 - 0 win against Quaresma Balls and Ian Green netted the same for Crouch Potato as they got the better of newly promoted Farmers Weekly.

Staro FC lead Division One after a 2nd win to start the season. Adam Zebedee on target twice as the got the better of A&C Dads 4 - 0. The Roys and Nice to Michu battled out a brilliant 3 - 3 draw with the goals shared about on both sides and Ben Morgan's strike cancelled out Ethan Matthews effort as the game between Vikings and 6 A Cider ended 1 - 1.

Well done to everyone that played this week, really bitter conditions so great that everyone got a side together. Big thanks to Lance and the officials too, pretty cold night for them so well done all.

I've been in touch with all captains already to say that if England win on Saturday against France we will be cancelling next weeks games so we can all enjoy the world cup semi final, if we go out on Saturday though our games will run next week as scheduled.
