Lionel Moosey Champions As Axminster Wednesday 6 A Side Football League Wraps Up Season with Exciting Final Matches.

Axminster Wednesday Football League concluded its thrilling season with a final week of intense matches across two divisions, Premier League and Division 1. Football enthusiasts were treated to an impressive display of skill and strategy as teams battled it out on the pitch.

In the Premier League division, three closely contested matches took place. 6-A-Cider and Studs In Studs showed tremendous grit with a hard-fought 3 - 3 draw. Staro FC faced a strong challenge from Lionel Moosey FC, ultimately succumbing to a 3 - 1 defeat that confirmed Moosey as champions with a one point advantage. Meanwhile, Crouch Potatoes emerged victorious with a commanding 3 - 1 win over Farmers Weekly who hang onto 3rd place

Division 1 showcased equally thrilling encounters. A&C Dads FC narrowly edged out Uplyme & Sinker in a gripping 3 - 2 battle but Uplyme had done enough to still be crowned as champions and return to the top division next season. Vikings FC displayed their dominance with a resounding 4 - 1 victory over The Roy's and they will join the league champions in the premier league next week. Foxes also established their authority on the field, delivering a convincing 5 - 1 win against Nice To Michu to end their campaign strongly

So after an exhilarating season, Lionel Moosey FC secured the top spot in the Premier League division with 16 points and 8 wins. Meanwhile, Uplyme & Sinker claimed victory in Division 1, amassing 15 points and 7 wins.

The Axminster Wednesday Football League has once again demonstrated the passion and skill of local football talent. Congratulations to all the teams and players for their exceptional performances throughout the season.
