CROUCH POTATOES CHAMPIONS OF AXMINSTER

We wrapped up our brilliant season of 6 a side in Axminster last night with Crouch Potatoes crowned as Premier League Champions for the 1st time. Congratulations to Simon and his team who have had an excellent campaign, picking up 16 points from their 10 games and finishing 3 points clear of Portsmuff in 2nd place. a 5 - 2 win over Nice to Michu was enough to seal the title and Staro beating Portsmuff 7 - 3 not only made it comfortable for Crouchy but also saved themselves from the drop. Uplyme and Sinker won 9 - 0against Farmers Weekly but because of Staro's win they go down to Division One with Michu. Replacing them in the top flight will be Lionel Moosey and 6 A-Cider. Moosey were confirmed as league champions some weeks ago but rounded off their dominant season with an 8 - 1 win over Cider. Quaresma could have stolen 2nd place but they went down 5 - 1 on the night to The Roys while Vikings had a 5 - 0 points win due to the unavailability of A&C Dads.

Harry Clifford takes home the golden boot in the top flight for his 14 Portsmuff goals and Brooklyn Wilkins held onto top spot in Division One with his 11 strikes earning him the top scorer award in the division.

Thanks to all our teams for being part of the season, we say goodbye to Quaresma Balls at this stage but have a team confirmed to take their place so we are all set for the new season which will kick off next Wednesday night, the fixtures will be out very soon.

Thanks as always to Lance and the team of officials, it's been a great season from them and we are always very grateful for the great job that they do.

Congratulations to our winning teams and goodluck to everyone for the new season.
