NEW SEASON OF 6 A SIDE LAUNCHES IN AXMINSTER

Welcome back for another season to all our Axminster teams, all ready and raring to go for the new campaign. Premier League Champions Crouch Potatoes have a reformed side, led now by Simon Smith and are not expecting to challenge having lost some key players. Their season kicked off with a challenging game against Uplyme & Sinker who had Alex in fine form to net all 5 of his teams goals resulting in an opening night win for them 5 - 3 Simon Smith did bag a hattrick for his new look team but they start with a defeat. Portsmuff were runners up last season and will be looking to go one better this time around, they kicked off against A.I.FC and 2 goals from the boot of Sam Bond went a long way towards the win that see's them sit joint top. 3 - 1 the result and a good start for Portsmuff. The final game in the top flight saw our two newly promoted sides matched up and there was nothing between them. A brilliant match in which Ajay Evans' hattrick for Lads on Tour was cancelled out by goals from Jordan Fowler and Owen Ward to earn a point for Nice to Michu and a decent start for both teams.

Life in Division One started well for Farmers Weekly who must be favourites for promotion after their 7 - 0 win against A&C Dads. Darren Andrews bagged a couple, as did Ty Alan in a great opening night for them. Quarema Balls also won well, 4 - 1 against Vikings thanks to 2 from Sam Jaffe and The Roys also left with the points from their game with 6 A Cider as James Gould netted twice to give them a 3 - 1 win.

Big thanks to Lance for managing the night and for reffing alongside Jason and Simon, so good to have the new season underway, last season was amazing and hopefully this one can be just as exciting and enjoyable for everyone.
