You Can't win the Axminst league with kids..... Or can you??

We welcome 3 new teams to the league this evening and they will all be strong competitors causing many upsets for sure.

Firstly a big well done to HFC for claiming their first league title last season, they must have been on the champers before kick off as they were not their normal clinical selves. The Vikings will feel that they were unlucky not to grab a point out of a hard fought game.

Portsmuff joined the popular Axminster 6 a side league also and were on the right side of a 5-3 score line against The Roys who also put in a shift and will take great confidence from that performance.

Farmers Weekly definitely had their Weetabix this morning as they smashed in 10 on the opening night to propel themselves to the top of the table. Uplyme & Sinker may want to forget this match and pretend the season starts next week as they were slow to react and found themselves 2-0 down in a matter of minutes. Despite a spirited fight back the game ended 3-1 and taking nothing away from NYC FC as they were certainly good value for the win.

The performance of the night however goes to the Undateables and they really did set a benchmark. The famous saying, "You can't win the league with kids" may be proved wrong again if tonight's showing was the start of things to come.

Well done lads and a special shout out to HFC's very own John Terry claiming the trophy without kicking a single ball last season.

See you next week
