The highly-anticipated week 2 of the Aylesbury Monday 6-a-side Football League did not disappoint. Both Premier League and Division 1 teams played with high intensity, resulting in a thrilling display of athleticism and tactical prowess.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Clear Choice Construction and Norma Care FC had a nail-biting encounter. Clear Choice Construction edged past Norma Care FC with a 4-3 victory, demonstrating their attacking prowess and solid defence. However, the star performance in the Premier League came from Spikes And Co as they clinically dispatched Shane Schlong with a resounding 7-1 win.
DIVISION ONE
Moving over to Division 1, Biscoff Backpost put on an offensive clinic, dismantling Chop Citeyy with an impressive 10-0 win. Their dominance was on full display, leaving no doubts about their title aspirations. In a much tighter contest, Multiple Scoregasms squeezed past Queens Park Strangers 5-4 in what was an end-to-end game. The Pythons faced Rat Boys in the final match of the day, where Rat Boys emerged victorious with a slim 2-1 margin.
The top scorers for each division were undoubtedly the talking points of this week's matches. In the Premier League, Spikes And Co's striker was the standout, netting a hat-trick in their 7-1 thrashing of Shane Schlong. Over in Division 1, Biscoff Backpost's forward had a field day, scoring half of his team's goals in their 10-0 victory.
Next week's fixtures promise even more excitement as teams look to improve their standings and aim for the top spot in their respective divisions. The competition is heating up, and fans can expect another round of high-voltage football action in the Aylesbury Monday 6-a-side Football League.
