BACK TO MONDAY NIGHT 6 A SIDE BUSINESS

We were back to it in our Monday night 6 a side league at Vale Academy last night with all 12 teams chomping at the bit to get their boots on again after what felt like the longest two week break.

In the prem it was wins for all of the top 3 to kick off the new year and as we reach the halfway point Numero Uno maintain their 3 point lead. They got past Keep It Lemon 4 - 1 while current champions Zones of Relegation won 5 - 1 against Park the Bus to stay 2nd. Aylesbury Athletic also won 6 - 1 in their game with Leave My Assalona and move into 3rd place.

In Division One the top two remain separated only by goal difference as both Tesco Finest and Shane Schlong picked up new year wins, this could develop into quite a title contest with the teams meeting in a few weeks, will we know more about who's likely to lift the trophy after that? Overweight stay in the hunt too after a brilliant 8 - 1 win over Only Put Matip In so there was little change in the league placings in Division One either but a great night of games for our return. Big thanks to all the teams, especially the captains for getting organised and having their teams ready to go last night. Massive thanks also to Scott and Wes for managing the night and reffing the games. Hopefully this is the start of a great year of 6 a side in Aylesbury, can't wait to see how this season pans out.

Have a good week guys, good luck in your games next Monday.
