GOSPORT 6 A SIDE BACK IN ACTION FOR 2023

Really good to be back in action at our Gosport Wednesday night league this week with a full line of teams in place and ready to restart where we left off before Christmas. With 4 weeks to go in the season we can start to cast an eye to the next campaign which will start on 8th Feb with an additional division planned as we look to grow this brilliant league. This weeks games saw Only Fools and Scorers continue their 2022 form into the new year and they got the better of TBC Academy. Gavin Petrie starting the year well with a smart hattrick in the 3 - 1 win. Meanwhile, Leo King went one better with 4 goals in Untouchables 6 - 2 win over Murder on Zidanes Floor to keep them in 2nd place, but with a 4 point lead it's looking like catching Only Fools might be a difficult task with 4 games to go. GBCC FC had a tight 2 - 1 win over Hardly Athletic to start the year and Fish Fingers got the better of Yard Boiz in an entertaining 10 goal thriller that saw Josh Dixon bag a hattrick but still end up on the losing side with Oli Robins' 4 strikes on goal going a long way towards the 7 - 3 win for Fish Fingers.  

Big thanks to Mike, Al and Phil for running match night and to all the team captains for organising their sides after the 2 week break. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season pans out and to start planning for a new, bigger league in February.
