Gosport Wednesday 6 a side news End Of Season
In an exhilarating culmination to the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side football league, the final week of matches did not disappoint. Week 10, referred to as the 'Week of Champions', was filled with drama, skill, and top-class football.
Premier League
In the Premier League division, The Backstreet Moyes emerged victorious with a convincing 12-3 win over Shut The FAcup, securing their division title. Ben Duffin, who was instrumental throughout the season, notched up an impressive five goals in this final match, pushing him to the top of the Premier League's scoring chart. Other notable matches in this division saw Lucky 7 suffer a 4-0 loss against Snatit FC, while Mash Gobblers and Suck Umtities ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Division 1
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Murder On Zidanes Floor captured their division title after a strong season tallying 7 wins and a total of 16 points. They stood on the sideline this week, as Solent United squeezed past Fish Fingers FC with a 1-0 victory, and Bowen Arrows dominated Haven't Jota Clue with an 8-0 win.
Division 2
Finally, in Division 2, Tom Tom FC seized the division title with a total of 17 points and 8 wins. They showcased their dominance by beating Bikes In Kitchen 3-0. AC Me Rollin also had a fantastic night, with Charlie Bond scoring 4 goals in their 8-1 victory over Queens Park Strangers. This performance saw Bond take the top scorer spot in Division 2.
As the final whistle blew on this season, we once again saw the spirit of football at its finest. The Gosport Wednesday league has truly been a spectacle, and we eagerly await the next season. Congratulations to the division champions, The Backstreet Moyes, Murder On Zidanes Floor, and Tom Tom FC for their triumphant seasons.
