The Gosport Wednesday Football League had an exciting start to their season last night with a string of exhilarating matches across the Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2.
Premier League
In the Premier League, Tom Tom Fc pulled off a narrow victory against For Fuchs Sake with a scoreline of 4-3, thanks to standout performances by players like Ollie Pinhorne. Pinhorne, who emerged as the top scorer in this match, managed to net an impressive 2 goals for his team. Suck Umtities also displayed an impressive performance against Multiple Scoregasms, winning the match 11-5.
Division 1
Over in Division 1, the game of the night was NWO's dominating 8-1 victory over Fish Fingers FC. Scotty Ferguson was the star player for NWO, scoring a whopping 6 goals in the match, thereby emerging as the top scorer in Division 1. AC Me Rollin also had a notable win against TIGERS FC with a 4-2 scoreline, while The Backstreet Moyes and Bowen Arrows went head-to-head with a goalless draw.
Division 2
Division 2 also witnessed some intense action. Wiggums Worriors secured a narrow win over Heron United by 3-2, with Bailey Stevenson scoring all three goals for the Worriors. Parcar FC also clinched a win against Queens Park Strangers by 4-1, while Vicious Villigers and Lucky 7 ended their game in a 2-2 draw.
