NEW SEASON UNDERWAY IN GOSPORT

In a thrilling start to a new season, teams from both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions took to the field, showcasing their skills and determination.

In the Premier League, Murder On Zidanes Floor claimed a 2-0 victory against Yma O Hyd, while The Untouchaballs narrowly edged out The Breadrins Curse FC with a 3-2 victory. Equally exciting was the face-off between Van Brockhurst and Only Fools And Scorers which ended in a 3-3 draw. Scran Frank, with Oliver Bryan leading the charge, outperformed Unathletico Madrid with a score of 3-1.

Oliver Bryan from Scran Frank was named the Most Valued Player for the week, an honour that reflects his pivotal role in his team's triumph.

In the goal-scoring department, the Premier League saw James Algar from Only Fools And Scorers emerge as the top scorer, netting a total of 3 goals.

Turning our attention to Division 1, Fiorentina Turner displayed an impressive performance, crushing Hex FC with a definitive 9-1 win. The match between South Coast Rejects and Fish Fingers FC ended with a 5-3 victory in favour of Fish Fingers FC, while Snatit FC and Gosham FC ended their match with a 2-2 draw.

Jamie Halliday of Fiorentina Turner emerged as the top scorer in Division 1, with a total of 3 goals to his name.

With this exciting start, the Gosport Wednesday 6-a-side Football League promises an intense and memorable season filled with spectacular plays and nail-biting finishes. We eagerly anticipate the coming weeks of play, as teams across both divisions strive to stamp their dominance on the league. Hopefully the weather plays it's part but whatever the conditions we know this league will be buzzing each week.
