Beversbrook six a side gets back underway

Calne Tuesday match report

It was amazing to get the Leisure Leagues Calne Tuesday six a side at Beversbrook Sports Facility back up and running. Every team was in attendance which included one new addition to the league. There was great banter between all teams with all games being played in the right spirit.

In the first game of the night, new team Snorting Lisbon took on Netsix and Chill. The first half was close with both teams having plenty of the ball but in the second Netsix’s superior fitness began to show. The end result was 2-1 to Netsix.

The most hotly contested game of the night saw Dads Dream Team Reborn, introducing a few new players, take on The Rushes. The game turned out to be a 6 goal thriller that eventually ended in a 4-2 win for Dads. The result put pay to The Rushes chances of winning the league m. However they could still have a bearing on the destination of the trophy when they take on Fitness Box next week.

That left the two title protagonists Fitness Box and TMT to play their games. It seemed as though the time away has done nothing to dent their quality as both walked away with 5-0 wins against HOLO FC and RichTeaWellens respectfully. Theses results mean that Fitness only need a point next week to ensure they defend their title with a game to spare.

Thanks to everyone that showed up. We can’t wait to see you again next week!

Can teams also please ensure they let me know if they plan to continue in the league next season by next week.

Thanks,

Dan
