TRACTOR FC CHAMPIONS OF CALNE

In the thrilling final week of the Calne Tuesday 6-a-side football league, local teams gathered under the floodlights to battle for the coveted title of the Premier League division. Heading into the night it was Tractor FC who held the advantage but with Kroos Control right on their heels there was no room for complacency. An off night from the leaders could let the title slip away.

All the matches were nothing short of exhilarating. Beazer Nunez and Binley Mega Chippy played out a fiercely contested 3-3 draw, showcasing an impressive array of skills and tactics. Kroos Control did all they could with a tidy 4-2 victory over Tchoumani Kids. However, the match that stole the limelight was undoubtedly between Peteys Crew and Tractor FC. Tractor FC, when it really counted, put in a sensational performance, confirming their place as champions with a great win over Peteys Crew by a staggering 10-3 margin. Pitch Invaders FC and Crystal Phallus also put up a well-fought game, with Crystal Phallus clinching a 5-3 victory to round off their campaign.

The star of the final week was undoubtedly Tractor FC's phenomenal George Garraway. With his remarkable ability to manoeuvre the ball and his deadly accuracy in front of the goal, Garraway netted a brilliant 4 goals, earning him the title of top scorer in the Premier League division. His extraordinary performance also earned him the accolade of the most valued player of the week and means he joins team mate Josh Pullin in sharing the seasons MVP award with 4 MotM awards each.

In the end, Tractor FC emerged victorious in the Premier League division with an impressive total of 25 points and 12 wins. Their exceptional performance throughout the season has demonstrated their unwavering determination and commendable sportsmanship. As the final whistle sounded, the jubilant cheers of the Tractor FC players echoed into the night, marking the end of a memorable season of the Calne Tuesday Football League.

There was some consolation for Kroos Control as their captain Luis Nyman took home the golden boot having scored an incredible 30 of his team 58 goals, what a season for the striker who's team will be going out all guns blazing to try and win back their crown next season.

Well done to all our teams for a brilliant season and a huge thanks to Chloe and her team of officials. The league simply wouldn't run without our refs and as always we are very grateful for their efforts.

Good luck to everyone for the new season which will start next Tuesday (14th Feb)
