Bicester Wednesday 5 a side WEEK 5

The floodlights blazed, the spectators roared, and the Bicester Wednesday 5-a-side Football League came alive with week 5’s nail-biting matches.

In the Premier League division, the football field witnessed some electrifying performances. Flying Without Ings dominated their match against Pickled Patch with a convincing 10-3 victory, flaunting their attacking prowess. However, it was the Elmsbrook Utd vs RNO FC match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. Despite Charlie Howlett's commendable performance, scoring four goals for Elmsbrook Utd, RNO FC managed to snatch a narrow 6-5 win, displaying their grit and determination.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, the excitement level soared even higher. Gibbon Gladiators and Bog Standard Liege ended their match in a deadlock, sharing points with a 3-3 draw. In contrast, Clamp Town FC left no room for ambiguity against Tikka Tens FC, securing an 8-2 win. Clamp Town's Charlie Mccloskey took the limelight, scoring a hat-trick and earning the title of the week's Most Valued Player.

The week concluded with the highest scoring player from each division being Charlie Howlett from Elmsbrook Utd for the Premier League, and Charlie Mccloskey from Clamp Town FC for Division 1. Both players demonstrated exceptional skills and sportsmanship, raising the bar for the upcoming matches.

As the league progresses, all eyes will be on these top performers and their teams as they attempt to maintain their form and fight for the coveted title. Week 5 has indeed set a high benchmark, leaving players, coaches, and spectators eagerly anticipating the next set of matches.
