Match Report- 2nd January

Points Match 0 v 5 Lads on Toure

Lads on Toure had already got all the points before they kicked a ball but played a friendly against ScissormeTravis which they won.

ScissormeTravis 4 v 2 Newark on Tour

ScissormeTravis put in a great showing in their game to come away with a much needed win. Newark had the lead twice but let it slip late in the second half and just couldn't recover from this. Both teams played well but it was the young lads that got the upper hand and came away with all the points. MOM- Jason Driver

Banterlona 2 v 0 Danny Dyers

A  very entertaining match with some good quality on show from both sides. It came down to some defence mistakes and excellent finishing from Banterlona which gave them the win. Banterlona then were resolute as always at the back to hang on to claim the points. Danny Dyers have certainly improved since they entered the league and if they put a string of results together could finish in the top half. MOM- Lewis Thompson

FFFC 2 V 2 2 Girls One Schlupp

The big top of the table clash came tonight and it was action packed. 2 girls took an early two goal lead with some nice play. FFFC managed to get one back before the break and then equalised early in the second half. From here both sides had opportunities but just couldn't take them. FFFC probably having the bet with a one on one being superbly saved. A point a piece in the race for the title. MOM- Charlie O'Donnell

Peg Doesn't Pass 5 v 0 1truesaxon

Peg came out the blocks very fast in the late kick-off to the surprise of 1truesaxon and took an early 2 goal lead. Peg started to dominate the ball as 1truesaxon found it hard to get a foothold in the game. Peg then scored a worldie from Jake Matthews and a couple more to seal a comfortable win. Peg will be looking to keep this streak going and climb the table will 1truesaxon will want to leave this one behind and concentrate on a top half finish. MOM- Jake Matthews
