Match Report- Tuesday 15th August

An excellent night of football with all games being competitive and entertaining. Thank you also to the teams that have caught up to date with payments.

Lads on Toure 2 - 4 Cooking with Ethan

The opening game of the night saw top of the table, Cooking with Ethan, face a well set up and determined side from Lads on Toure. This was reflected in the scoreline with it being a tight game but ultimately the table toppers taking control and seeing the victory through. The win for Cooking with Ethan keeps them 1 point above Red Bull and next week they face the organised unit of FFFC. As for Lads on Toure they remain in 6th and face new boys AFC Astro next week. MOM- Matt Stevenson

The Balotelli Tubbies 2 - 3 AFC Astro

This game saw the new boys to the league AFC Astro give a very good account of themselves even with a depleted squad. Some individual brilliance and some strong defence work near the end was enough to see them through. Balotellitubbies had their chances and will think they should of got something out of the game but it was not to be. The win for AFC Astro means they hang on to third place by goals scored were as Balotelli Tubbies remain at the foot of the table. Next week AFC Astro face the ever-improving Lads on Toure and Balotelli Tubbies face Danny Dyers. MOM- Joe Davis

FFFC 0 - 4 Red Bull Gives You Ings

Red Bull put in another impressive display to try and catch the league leaders and win the title in their last season with us. Some nice passages of play and clinical finishing were enough for Red Bull who put in a professional display to win the game. The win for Red Bull keeps them one point behind Cooking with Ethan with them facing the in-form Peg Doesn't Pass next week. As for FFFC it leaves them in mid table and for them next week's game doesn't get easier when they face Cooking with Ethan. MOM- Nick Alexander

Peg Doesn't Pass 2 v 0 Hashtag United 6 A Side

A real dominating display from the lads in red who would feel the score line doesn't reflect their dominance. If it was not for a man of the match display from the Hashtag keeper then the score line could off been a lot higher and even though the Hashtag boys did improve as the game went on it just wasn't enough. Goal of the night also has to go to the team in red as a long ranger nestled nicely in the top corner. The win for Peg means they have the chance to climb into mid table next week but it won't be easy as they face Red Bull. Hashtag who have changed their name to Cescoffenders will face 1truesaxon. MOM- Rory Douglas

1truesaxon 2 - 1 Danny Dyers Chocolate Harmonculus

The last game of the night was a feisty encounter where the class of 1truesaxon finally came through to see them seal the victory. Danny Dyers, who were missing a few regular players gave a good account of themselves but the experience of 1truesaxon was enough. The win for 1truesaxon leaves them fourth but they will be wanting to leapfrog AFC Astro when they take on Hashtag United next week. For Danny Dyers it's a game against Balotelli Tubbies.
