A brand-new season of the Beverley Monday 6-a-side league got underway this week at the Bishop Burton College pitches, with some great games to kick things off despite a few walkovers. 

In the Premier League, we began with the Nutty Nutters starting off with a solid 3-1 win against Inter Peroni, as Beverley La Coruna picked up a win against Largentina. Reigning champs Champagne Super Rovers got a walkover to kick their campaign off, as they sat back into first place provisionally. 

 Division 1 then saw just the one official game, as Fat Fighters took on Expected Toulouse as the sides battled it out in their season openers. 

The former finally found the winning edge, however, and edged to a 2-1 win. 

Viking Rangers and Inter Ya Nan got default wins to kick their seasons off.
