In local sports news, the highly anticipated Gosport Monday 7-a-side Football League continued into its second week with some standout performances and surprising results.

Division 1
In Division 1, Absolutely Fabregas proved their dominance with a remarkable 7-1 victory over Leavemyarcelona. The match showcased the former's aggressive offensive tactics and robust defense, which left their counterparts struggling to find their footing. Meanwhile, Lost Rovers pulled out an impressive 4-0 win against Hoagie Chogie, a match that highlighted their superior coordination and strategic prowess.

The spotlight, however, was stolen by Van Brockhurst who trounced Bridge Raiders 5-1. The star of the game was Aiden Burnett of Van Brockhurst, who netted an impressive hat-trick, becoming the top scorer in Division 1.

Division 2
Over in Division 2, Athletico Moretti was handed a 3-1 defeat by Dads On Tour in an exciting encounter. Chairman Supernova triumphed over Haven't Jota Clue, with a 5-1 victory, showcasing their exceptional teamwork and tactical supremacy. The match between WheresTheBaggio and Neville Wears Prada ended with a convincing 4-1 win for WheresTheBaggio.

The top scorer in Division 2 was Ben Hall of Dads on Tour, who put up an outstanding performance by scoring the decisive goal for his team.
