Gosport Monday 7 a side news - match day 5

In a stunning display of athleticism and strategy, the Gosport Monday 7-a-side football league entered its fifth week leaving us all in awe. The Division 1 matches, known for their high stakes and intensity, did not disappoint.

DIVISON ONE

The Lost Rovers illuminated the field with their commanding victory over Bridgemary Ultras, astonishing us all with a 20-0 win. This victory is likely to send shockwaves throughout the division, with other teams now bound to keep a vigilant eye on the Rovers. The star of the match was, without a doubt, Harry Omalley, who netted an impressive six goals, effectively catapulting him to the top of the division's goalscoring charts.

In a thrilling encounter, Queens Park Strangers edged out Lads On Toure in a tightly contested match, winning by a slight margin of 1-0. Despite the low scoring game, the tension and thrill were palpable, making it a memorable match for all.

A nail-biting clash between HANGING BY A FRED and Un Athletico Madrid ended in a riveting 4-3 victory for the latter. The game was a seesaw of emotions, with both teams leading at different intervals, but it was Un Athletico Madrid who clinched the win at the final whistle.

The evening’s drama continued with Galatasaray UK and Haven't Jota Clue dueling it out in a tense deadlock that ended in a 2-2 draw. Both teams showed great resilience, refusing to let the other gain an upper hand.

As the season progresses, it's clear that Division 1 is shaping up to be a battleground for supremacy. The remaining games of the season promise to deliver even more thrilling football, keeping the spirit of the sport alive and well.

Thank you to Kiefer for running the evening and to all our refs and players. Good luck next week.
