New Gosport Monday 7 a side news season kicks off!

Gosport's 7-a-side Monday Football League kicked off an exciting new season last night, with teams battling it out in Division 1. These early matches set the stage for the rest of the season and gave a glimpse of the talent that will be on display in the coming weeks.

DIVISION ONE

Un Athletico Madrid and Bridgemary Ultras faced off in a thrilling match that ended in a 4-4 draw. This intense game was full of grit and determination from both sides, demonstrating early on that this season won't be short on on-field drama.

Real Sosobad started the season strong with a 4-1 victory over Haven't Jota Clue. This win sets a positive tone for the rest of Sosobad’s campaign, whilst Haven’t Jota Clue will be looking to bounce back quickly.

Queens Park Strangers put on an impressive performance, totally dominating Galatasaray UK with a 6-0 victory. They will be a team to watch this season if this opening match is anything to go by.

However, the standout performance of the week came from Lost Rovers, who recorded a resounding 10-0 win over Hanging By A Fred. Such a dominant performance in the opening week surely sends a message to the rest of the division.

Meanwhile, Lads On Toure also started strong, notching a 5-1 victory over Dragon These Balls. The star of the game was undoubtedly Morgan Durow, who bagged an impressive five goals, making him the top scorer in Division 1 for the week.

These opening matches have set an exciting tempo for the season and with so much talent spread across the division, it will be interesting to see how the league shapes up in the coming weeks.
