Monday 19th April - Burntwood Round-Up

It was an excellent evening's football in the Burntwood Monday 6 a side league this week saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some entertaining matches played across both divisions.

New team Ringers United joined the league as a replacement for the excluded Burntwood AFC.  They put in a good performance but were eventually beaten by a single goal against an experienced Burntwood Dads side.  The Gradient moved top of the pile with a 3-0 win against Janine The Dream and SOTC FC won a tightly contested game against Shush FC by 2 goals to 1, meaning the top three teams are now separated by a single point.

In Division One it was the battle of the top two, as Six Offenders ran out eventual 3-1 winners over Norfolkinchance to jump to the top of the pile, albeit by a single point.  Monday Club also leapfrogged this weeks opponents The Dukes after a single goal victory, this sees them in third place and three points off second.

We welcome new team Obi Wan Bissaka to the league this week, they replace the outgoing Pathetico Madrid who withdraw after playing out their two weeks notice period.

We wish all teams good luck ahead of the games on Monday 26th April with Burntwood's premier provider of small sided football!
