Some of you may have noticed that whilst we had a FULL turnout of teams, we unfortunately were short of staff last night. This was due to a multitude of different concerns affecting our usual and backup team of referees/supervisors. A big thank you to you all for understanding and supporting our latest up and coming officials.
In the Premier League, Burntwood FC edged out Pete Always Scores Bangers in a thrilling 3-2 victory, proving their mettle in a tightly contested match. Will this be decisive in the title race I wonder!? Meanwhile, The Gradient showcased their striking prowess by defeating Boca Seniors 5-2. The CTL Elite and Victoria FC played out a goalless draw, suggesting a tense battle of missed opportunities and defensive resilience.
Division 1 bore witness to some high-scoring games. 2 Goals 1 Cup snatched a narrow 4-3 win over Chasetown Seniors. With a 7 goal thriller on the cards - this certainly makes my Match of the Day. While FC Prodigies demonstrated their football supremacy with a commanding 6-0 victory over Wheel FC.
In another engaging encounter, Soup King FC outplayed Purple Cobras FC 3-1. Still, this is not a bad start for such a new team! Norfolkinchance capped off the round with a 4-1 triumph over Sheffield Monday.
Division 2 had its fair share of drama. Not In Ya Mums Forest fell short Fat Knacker And Co in a 6-0 defeat. While WIP FC eked out a 1-0 win over Patty Freaks FC. Kepa Clean Sheet steamrolled past Unathletico Madrid with a 7-1 win, and The Wastemen secured a 3-2 victory over Boat Inn Rovers in a nail-biting finish.
The usual team look forward to welcoming you back this Monday coming!
As you can see, we do have a couple of available spaces in our league! However, with another new team taking on one of these from next Monday... meaning there is not much time left to guarantee your space for you/your mates! Next season is also just a few short weeks away!!
