Burntwood Monday's 6-a-side football league marked another exhilarating week of intense competition and stunning performances. The eighth week of the season saw teams clashing for dominance across three divisions: the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League, a tense standoff occurred between Ray Priests and Burntwood FC, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. The match ended in a goalless draw, a testament to the remarkable defensive strategies of both sides!

Division 1 saw a flurry of goals and stunning manoeuvres. WIP FC showed their prowess on the pitch with a decisive 3-0 victory over 2 Goals 1 Cup. Meanwhile, Wheel FC managed to squeeze past The CTL Elite with an unusual 1-0 win. The highest scoring match of the division belonged to Harriers, who demonstrated their offensive supremacy with a 7-0 thrashing of Poms United. Nobody saw that one coming - wowza!

FC Prodigies also exhibited their scoring capabilities with a 5-0 triumph over Sheffield Monday. Norfolkinchance managed to outdo Fat Knacker And Co with a close 2-1 win, adding excitement to the league standings.

Division 2’s matches were no less thrilling. Scrambled Legs and Not In Ya Mums Forest ended in a 1-1 draw, while Norton FC secured a 4-2 victory over Patty Freaks FC. Thus earning them their first Match of the Day Title! In other news; Just Bloata outshined Unathletico Madrid with a 4-1 win, and Kepa Clean Sheet slipped past Boat Inn Rovers with a 4-2 victory.

The Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football league continues to offer thrilling matches and stunning displays of teamwork and skill. As we head into our Festive Break, the competition remains high, and fans are eager to see what their favourite teams bring onto the pitch next round of games. 

Remember, the next 2 Monday's coming up are both off due to the centre being closed for festivities! We shall see you all back on the 8th Jan when the action shall continue!
