Burntwood Monday 6-A-Side Football League Week 3 Roundup

The third week of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League concluded last night, leaving spectators and players at the edge of the white lines! The battles were staged in three divisions - Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2, each boasting nail-biting action.

In the Premier League, we start of this article with the coverted Match of the Day; FC Prodigies pulled off a thrilling victory over Pete Always Scores Bangers with a 4-2 scoreline. A real shocker as the once famous Bangers slip further down the table!

The crowd was treated to yet a thrilling encounter between Wheel FC and Ray Priests, with Wheel FC clinching the win by a narrow 2-1 scoreline. It was also nice to see them return following a couple weeks off! In other developments, The Gradient emerged as the top scorers in the division, showcasing their dominance in a 7-1 victory over The CTL Elite.

Moving to Division 1, Boys To Men outclassed Bottom FC with a 3-1 win, while Kepa Clean Sheet displayed a goal-scoring masterclass against Norton Canes, finishing the game 7-1 and staking claim as the top scorers in the division. The Harriers vs. Norton FC match, however, ended in a bizzare goalless draw.

Finally, over in Division 2, 2 Goals 1 Cup and MONDAY WARRIORS evenly matched up with a 1-1 draw. Purple Cobras FC emerged victorious against Unathletico Madrid with a convincing 5-2 score. A real rollercoaster of a contest for all involved!

But the highlight of the division was the Scrambled Legs versus Trooper FC match, which saw Scrambled Legs dominate with an impressive 8-1 win, making them the highest scoring team in the division. Well done to you all and let's see if Trooper can stage a bounce-back performance next Monday night.
