In the thrilling week 2 of Burntwood Monday 6 a side Football league, spectators were treated to a display of both skill and tenacity, with a slew of goals across the new and improved Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2.
In the much-anticipated Premier League, Norton FC made a statement with a resounding 4-0 victory against Bunch Of Scruffs, while Hills Army raised the bar even higher, crushing Stinky Parton Fc with a phenomenal 8-0 win. However, Burntwood Fc and Sheffield Monday battled it out in a neck and neck race where the underdogs stole the spoil, in a match that was a nail-biter till the last whistle! 2-3. Stroke Tity FC also managed to squeeze a narrow 1-0 win over Toe Poke Mafia.
Shifting to Division 1, top honours went to Karius To Glory after defeating Patty Freaks FC 4-1 in a riveting match. Harriers triumphed 1-0 against FCDapperGirls, while Donny On Da Beek took down RAWNSLEY RANGERS 3-1. Dahlmer Fc secured a clean 2-0 win against Monday Warriors, further intensifying the competition in the division.
In Division 2, Dribble Fc fell to Diddy’s Baby Oil Plug 0-4 in a match that was a testament to the latter's offensive prowess. Pro Clubs Irl suffered a 0-2 defeat against PSV Hangover, while Basic FC lost to Queen Park Strangers in today’s MotD! 5 goals made it a closely contested match that ended 2-3. Well done!
This week’s top scorers were Hills Army from Premier League, Karius To Glory from Division 1, and Queen Park Strangers from Division 2, all of whom have set the benchmark high for their fellow competitors.
