In the heart of Burntwood, the Monday Night 6-a-side football league continued with enthralling action last night. It marked the third week of the season with the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 all seeing impressive performances.
In the Premier League, Bunch Of Scruffs dominated the pitch with a 9-3 win over Toe Poke Mafia, solidifying their position in the league. Another standout match saw SPECCY WANDERERS triumph over Stinky Parton Fc with an 8-3 victory. Scrambled Legs and Burntwood FC gave spectators a nail-biting match ending in an evenly fought 4-4 draw. A crazy game but was it the result either team truly desired?
In Division 1, Serves You Right For Muscat That left an indelible mark with a resounding 10-0 victory over No Name FC. A fabulous start for the new lads! Are they the ones to watch in this division? Other notable games included RAWNSLEY RANGERS edging out Dahlmer Fc 1-0 and Harriers overpowering Patty Freaks FC 5-2. Whopper Walsh leading the way in this division!
Over in Division 2, Kepa Clean Sheet displayed a strong defence, shutting out Pro Clubs Irl with a comprehensive 5-0 victory. Last up is our famous Match of the Day. It featured a wonderful array of 9 goals and was the match between PSV Hangover and Basic FC ended in a tightly contested 5-4 win in favour of PSV Hangover. Div 2 is still up for anyone who is committed enough, great to see from a neutral stance!
With a magnificent 10 goal spree from Serves You Right For Muscat That in Division 1, it's clear that the competition for top scorer is heating up.
