In a thrilling week of football, Burntwood Monday 6-a-side league returned for week 10 with teams across three divisions clashing for supremacy.
In the Premier League division, Burntwood FC and Norton FC played out a tightly contested 2-2 draw, demonstrating their evenly matched skills and tenacity. Meanwhile, Sheffield Monday showcased their offensive prowess by defeating Scrambled Legs 4-1, rising in the rankings as a team to watch. Some huge action taking hold at the top end of the table!
Division 1 saw some enthralling play, especially from Harriers, who outmatched Serves You Right For Muscat That with a 3-1 victory. Karius To Glory battled it out with Broadfield FC, which ended in a 0-0 stalemate. New team Net 6 and Chill FC beat Monday Warriors 1-0. However, a special mention goes to Patty Freaks FC and FCDapperGirls, who established their dominance with victories against Whopper Walsh (3-0) and No Name FC (10-0) respectively.
Moving onto Division 2, Diddys Dribblers showed their class with a 4-1 win over returning giants Class On Grass. McGinn N Tonic squeezed out a win against Pro Clubs Irl with the scoreline reading 2-1. But the match of the day winner was undoubtedly between Six Offenders and Kepa Clean Sheet, with Six Offenders coming out on top in a high-scoring affair that ended 6-2. Eight glorious goals is not too shabby!
These results have set the stage for an exciting next round of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side league. Each division is witnessing fierce competition and it is clear that every point will be crucial as the teams progress further into the season.
