Burntwood Monday 6 a side news 2025-09-29

Play in the Burntwood Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In a thrilling week 12 of the Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football league, spectators were treated to a feast of football across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League, Toe Poke Mafia edged out Norton FC in a tightly contested match that ended 3-2. In another stunning performance, Lattos Toy Boys secured a 2-0 victory over The Grillbillies, showcasing their defensive strength. However, it was Sheffield Monday who stole the show, notching up a commanding 4-1 victory against Burntwood FC. Rightfully securing them their spot at the top!

Moving on to Division 1, the games were no less exciting. FCDapperGirls made a statement with a 1-0 win against Harriers. However, it was Whopper Walsh who made the headlines with an emphatic 8-0 victory over No Name FC, sending shockwaves through the division.

Division 2 witnessed some extraordinary performances too. We kick off with our MotD where hopefuls Davos Diddy Party managed to secure a 2-1 win over Class On Grass. Outstanding! Meanwhile Diddy’s Baby Oil Plug's impressive 5-0 victory against Pro Clubs Irl grabbed many eyeballs. Kepa Clean Sheet and Diddys Dribblers shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw, and so did PSV Hangover and McGinn N Tonic. Queen Park Strangers and Trooper FC also clinched victory with a 2-1 and 3-2 win respectively over Basic FC and Six Offenders.

The BIG ANNOUNCEMENT which we have to share is that following a review at the halfway stage of the season, we feel that there are too many empty spaces in this current format. We have listened to your frustrations about the number of friendlies which these generate and therefore have restarted the league back to 0 today. This new season will start this coming Monday and feature a smaller format of 4 x 8-team divisions to keep things fresh and exciting for you all!

As the Burntwood Monday league moves into a new chapter, it promises to deliver more intense and exciting matches. Football fans, stay tuned for more action, drama, and skill in our local grounds. Teams will be grouped into these smaller divisions based on results to date. The fixtures ahead will be very interesting for certain!

Any questions or queries you can contact Dan, the league manager below. And of course, if you are interested in joining this exciting new league layout then now is the time. A clean sheet for all and a chance to see who our next set of local champs are!!
