In the Premier League, Burntwood FC made a statement with a 4-0 whitewash against Norton FC, demonstrating their control and dominance. It’s been a while.. but they are back to their familiar home at the table top! A thrilling encounter was seen between Karius To Glory and Scrambled Legs, where the former triumphed 4-2, proving their prowess in the league. An excellent yet shocking start to their Prem life! Lattos Toy Boys and Toe Poke Mafia, too, secured victories against Sheffield Monday (2-0) and The Grillbillies (3-1) respectively.
Transitioning to Division 1, Broadfield FC fell short against Harriers, conceding a 2-1 defeat. Meanwhile, Watto Club edged past FCDapperGirls with a 3-2 victory. And then there is the matter of our Match of the Day!! Where Whopper Walsh and Six Offenders played an end-to-end, tightly contested match, 6 goals flew in with the contest ending in a 3-3 draw. Incredible!
Division 2 saw McGinn N Tonic overpower Patty Freaks FC 3-1. Moreover, Davos Diddy Party claimed a narrow win against Diddy's Dribblers in a thrilling 3-2 encounter. There’s only room for one Diddy in this division it seems!
In Division 3, Basic FC settled for a 2-0 clean sweep against Net Six And Chill FC while Kepa Clean Sheet delivered an astounding 11-1 performance against No Name FC, marking the highest scoring game of the week across all divisions, by some margin too! In other news, Queen Park Strangers narrowly lost to PSV Hangover in a 0-1 showdown.
Top scorers for each division were vital in these clashes. Their contribution heavily influenced the outcome of the matches, elevating the competition, and providing entertainment for spectators. Stay tuned for next week's fixtures as the teams regroup and strategize for their upcoming clashes in the thrilling Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League!
