Burntwood’s Monday Football League in its third week witnessed exhilarating matchups, with teams exhibiting impressive football skills across all divisions. The league matches unfolded a slew of exciting games with goals, tactics, and team spirit on vivid display.
In the Premier League division, Sheffield Monday took a confident stride towards victory with a 3-0 clean sheet against Toe Poke Mafia. The Scrambled Legs managed to scrape a win against Lattos Toy Boys with a close 2-1 scoreline. A couple of upsets however, Burntwood remain top.
Division 1 saw an unequal balance of power as Watto Club romped home to a 10-1 victory over Murder On Zindane’s Floor, marking the highest scoring match of the evening. They rightfully move up to the crest of the table. The big question is, can they stay there!? Meanwhile, in other news, FCDapperGirls snatched a narrow 2-1 win against Harriers.
The Division 2 matches were nothing short of action. The Class On Grass routed Pro Clubs Irl with a 7-1 stomping. Davos Diddy Party secured a comfortable 6-2 win over Trooper FC. Maintaining their excellent start to the season! In an engaging faceoff, Patty Freaks FC overcame Diddys Dribblers with a 5-2 score. The McGinn N Tonic held their ground against Monday Warriors, securing a 2-0 win.
In the Division 3 league matches, Basic FC eked out a 2-1 win over PSV Hangover. And finally, the moment you’ve all been waiting for… Our Match of the Day! It features Kepa Clean Sheet who secured a close 2-1 victory against Net Six And Chill FC. Great work lads, keep it up!
