Fierce Competition Marks Week 8 of Burntwood Monday 6-a-Side Football League

Week 8 of the high-stakes Burntwood Monday 6-a-side Football League saw some pretty intense action across its four divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.

In the Premier League, Lattos Toy Boys managed a narrow 1-0 victory over new boys All Grass No Class, while Sheffield Monday emerged triumphant in a closely contested 1-0 match against Karius To Glory. However, the highlight of the division was the thrilling faceoff between Norton FC and Scrambled Legs, with Norton FC eking out a 3-2 victory.

Division 1 saw Broadfield FC edge out Whopper Walsh in a tight 1-0 match. Next up is our Match of the Day extravaganza! The Harriers couldn't keep their lead against Watto Club, with the latter taking home the win in a 3-2 thriller.

Division 2 was where the Pink Panthers really shone, trouncing Diddys Dribblers with a commanding 5-0 victory, the highest scoreline of the night. The new lads hit the ground running! McGinn N Tonic and Davos Diddy Party ended with a 1-1 draw, while Patty Freaks FC scraped out a 1-0 win over Monday Warriors.

Meanwhile, in Division 3, Basic FC dominated Queen Park Strangers with a 5-2 win. Murder On Zidane’s Floor and PSV Hangover presented a nail-biter, with the former securing a 4-3 victory. P M T FC overpowered Kepa Clean Sheet in a 7-2 rout, and Pro Clubs Irl blanked No Name FC 4-0.

This week's top scorers were Pink Panthers from Division 2 with a 5-0 victory and P M T FC from Division 3 with a terrific 7-2 triumph, marking a high-scoring, adrenaline-pumping week of football.

As the league progresses, the competition is heating up, and we expect even more thrilling performances in the upcoming weeks.
