In an electrifying display of football, week 10 of the Burntwood Monday 6 a side Football league has just concluded, with teams from Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 giving their all on the pitch.
In the Premier League, Expected Toulouse were overpowered by Sheffield Monday in a 9-0 blowout. The other matches were closely contested, with Scrambled Legs edging out Lattos Toy Boys 2-1. Even more thrilling was the game starring Karius To Glory in our Match of the Day! They claimed victory against Norton FC with an electric 3-2 win. Let’s gooo! The top scorers for the entire league were Sheffield Monday, who are neck and neck with Burntwood FC for that gold trophy yet again!
Moving on to Division 1, Broadfield FC and Toe Poke Mafia battled to a 1-1 draw, as did FCDapperGirls and Harriers. Paquetà Crisps FC were unable to hold off Watto Club, who dominated the match with an 8-0 victory. Watto Club's performance also secured them the current title of top spot in Div1 so far!
In Division 2, All Grass No Class proved their mettle with a decisive 5-0 victory over Davos Diddy Party. McGinn N Tonic outperformed Monday Warriors as well, concluding the match with a 6-1 score. McGinn N Tonic's performance crowned them the top scorers for Division 2. Patty Freaks seem to be bossing the league, but there is still a long way to go… are they on track for their first ever promotion to the big leagues!?
The Division 3 matches showcased Basic FC and PSV Hangover in a 1-1 draw, while Murder On Zidane’s Floor triumphed over No Name FC with a 4-0 victory. The top scorer for Division 3 was Murder On Zidane’s Floor, their remarkable performance leaving a lasting impression. It is all to play for down here, with PMT FC maintaining a slender lead over the other 7 teams!
As we come to the end of week 10, we look forward to the next round of matches. The Burntwood Monday 6 a side Football league continues to showcase the best of local football talent, each team fighting to climb the league tables.
